Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has proposed a budget that would cut all funds from the state allocated for public broadcasting. These cuts go so far as to eliminate the state commission that currently provides grants for radio and TV stations in Alaska. Around $70,000 could be pulled from 27 stations around the state, leaving much of the financial burden of supporting the state safety alert system (ARC) to them, in addition to their own programming that previously received state financial support.
