Founded in 1967, Minnesota Public Radio began as a single classical music radio station at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn. Since then, Minnesota Public Radio has grown into a 45-station network serving virtually all of Minnesota and parts of surrounding states with three radio services: MPR News, Classical MPR and The Current. Founded in 2004, American Public Media has grown into one of the largest producers of public radio programming in the world.
