BPR and NPR to Host “Public Media: Building Trust in an Age of Mistrust”

BPR and NPR will host an event on September 10th at the Wortham Center in Ashville titled “Public Media: Building Trust in an Age of Mistrust”. This event will discuss the importance of ethics in the newsroom in the face of the 2020 Presidential election. Joining the discussion will be editors for NPR, Elizabeth Jensen and Mark Memmott, along with BPR’s new director, Matt Bush, as well as a number of local reporters. They will focus on how to be an ethical journalist and the importance of earning public trust.
