On Monday, August 12, El Paso’s KCOS PBS and Texas Tech Public Media (KTTZ) announced their new partnership. The two organizations will continue to provide the same content to their own audiences and expand into the other’s market, bringing their high-quality programming to a wider audience.

The partnership is intended to consolidate the operations of the two organizations to create opportunities for innovation and to expand the educational and cultural programming offered. KCOS and KTTZ programming will all come under the Texas Tech Public Media umbrella once the partnership has been approved by the FCC, which is expected at the end of the 30-day review window.

Viewers and listeners can expect all of their channels to remain the same, but there will be more regionally focused programming coming soon.
