]]> Florangela Davila has been named the next News Director for the Takoma, Washington based station KNKX Public Radio. She will take the helm from Erin Hennessey, the 23-year News Director for KNKX. Davila comes to the station from her position as the managing editor of Cascade Public Media’s Crosscut/KCTS9 in Seattle. Her new position with KNKX brings Davila back after more than 10 years, initially having joined the station as a freelance reporter in 2008. Since then she has worked for The Alameda Times-Star, University of Washington, and Cascade Public Media.

Davila is set to start September 9, 2019.

]]> WHRO, the public radio station in Hampton Roads, VA is set to welcome a news department to the team and Rebecca Feldhaus Adams as their very first News Director. In an interview with The Virginian-Pilot, she stated, “I want WHRO to be a place that sets the standard for what people can expect from public media.” Feldhaus Adams comes to WHRO from WAMU in Washington, D.C.

Feldhaus Adams is set to start at the end of July 2019.
