										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On August 3, 2019, the African Artists’ Association and Black Public Media are hosting an event with In.flux Lab to increase opportunity in the virtual reality (VR) industry for underrepresented groups as well as to provide general information on the emerging technology.  The event will involve opportunities to engage with professionals in the extended reality field, network, and learn more about the various technologies currently in use in the industry. There will also be screenings of the VR documentary <em>Traveling While Black</em> (2019)  and the animated VR science fiction short <em>NeuroSpeculative AfroFeminism</em> (2017).  </span></p>
